HOW DID I GET INTO UX?

I studied History at the University of Warsaw. I planned to become a Journalist (learned searching for information, telling stories, and fact-checking are part of that foundation, as advised by my mentor, Wojciech Jagielski).
Although I still enjoy writing, life took me on a different path. I’ve worked as a chief editor with books and websites, tried sales, customer service, as a tour guide, and even Casino cashier, but design was the on that sticks.
My first UX job at Accenture began when my boss gave me my assignment: redesign a bank CRM.
“I’m not sure what to do with this,” I said.
“Well, learn fast,” he replied.
And I did. Through UX/UI, I found my way to studying Service Design at SWPS in Warsaw (final grade 5.0!) and eventually landed a senior role in the Product Design team at Orange Polska and Zima Agency. Now I follow my own path.
